Every press release we issue, every media feature we earn, every partnership we announce, and every company milestone we cross is documented here. This page is updated regularly. If you are a journalist, analyst, partner, investor, or industry observer covering Singapore's energy transition, this is the page to bookmark.

About Sunollo

Sunollo Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in 2023 in Singapore, founded by Kapil Seth and Nathalie Risteau — the leaders who previously built Mandalay Yoma Energy, an ENGIE joint venture that electrified nearly 50,000 consumers across Myanmar through solar mini-grids and rural electrification.

Sunollo's mission is to make solar and clean energy accessible to every Singapore household — landed home, condominium with management approval, and commercial building owner. The company designs, sells, installs, and services residential and commercial solar systems with integrated battery storage, EV charging, and software-driven monitoring.

Why This Newsroom Exists

Most solar companies in Singapore communicate through a brochure website and a contact form. Sunollo takes a different view.

Residential solar is a multi-decade trust commitment. A homeowner installing a 25-year asset on their roof needs to know — verifiably, not promotionally — what the company has done, who has covered it, what it has built, what it has launched, and what it has been recognised for. The Newsroom is the institutional answer to that question. Every claim Sunollo makes about itself can be traced back here to a primary source: a Straits Times link, an SGBC PDF, a partnership announcement, a customer milestone with date and detail.

This page is also an explicit invitation to media. Journalists covering Singapore energy, sustainability, residential solar, distributed energy, the Open Electricity Market, battery storage, BIPV, the Virtual Power Plant rollout, the Singapore-Indonesia electricity import programme, or the broader ASEAN energy transition will find Sunollo executives available for background briefings, on-record interviews, expert commentary on breaking news, and access to original-source data via the Singapore Solar Data Hub.

Contact [email protected] to be added to the Sunollo press distribution list.

9 June 2026 — Sunollo and Sigenergy Sign MoU for Integrated Solar, BESS and EV Charging in Singapore

Shanghai / Singapore — Sunollo signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sigenergy — the AI-powered battery storage, solar, and EV charging solutions provider — at SNEC 2026 in Shanghai, China, on 9 June 2026. The agreement establishes a framework to accelerate the adoption of intelligent home energy systems in Singapore, combining solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), EV charging, and AI-powered energy management in a single integrated platform.

The partnership addresses a convergence that is reshaping Singapore residential energy: as households adopt electric vehicles and seek backup capability, the standalone solar installation is giving way to a fully integrated energy ecosystem — solar generating, battery storing, EV charging, and an intelligent system optimising across all three in real time.

Tony Xu, CEO of Sigenergy, said: "Singapore is one of the region's most sophisticated energy markets, and customers here are increasingly looking for solutions that go beyond standalone hardware. By combining Sigenergy's AI-powered energy platform with Sunollo's local market understanding and customer focus, we see a strong opportunity to deliver a smarter, more integrated energy experience in Singapore."

For Sunollo, the Sigenergy partnership directly supports the Sunollo Abundance Pro product line — the integrated solar + battery + EV charging stack for Singapore landed homeowners — and the $0 upfront monthly payment model that makes battery adoption accessible without large capital outlays. The two companies will evaluate opportunities spanning residential and small commercial deployments, channel development, customer education, and future localised offerings for Singapore.

The MoU was signed at SNEC 2026, the world's largest solar trade fair and the leading platform for solar and energy storage partnership announcements in Asia.

1 June 2026 — Sunollo Publishes Singapore Solar Data Hub: First Open Data Platform for Residential Solar in Singapore

Singapore — Sunollo today launched the Singapore Solar Data Hub, the first open, machine-readable data platform for residential solar in Singapore. The Hub publishes live electricity tariff data, EMA cumulative solar capacity statistics, USEP wholesale electricity spread analysis, the underlying calculations that drive residential solar payback assumptions, and the market context data that informs household solar investment decisions.

The Hub is updated automatically via a Cloudflare Worker edge platform and a GitHub Actions data pipeline. The underlying dataset is also published on GitHub (open source, MIT licensed) and Hugging Face (machine-learning-grade structured dataset) for academic, journalistic, and AI research use.

"Singapore lacks public, granular, machine-readable energy data at the level that consumers and analysts need to make good decisions," said Nathalie Risteau, CEO of Sunollo. "We built the Hub because we believe data transparency is part of the trust foundation that residential solar requires."

The launch coincides with the publication of three companion analytical articles on the Sunollo blog covering Singapore's energy sovereignty challenge, the five-game value chain framework, and why residential solar is a consumer business that requires consumer-grade operations.

19 May 2026 — Sunollo Launches Three-Part Thought Leadership Series on Singapore Energy Future

Singapore — Sunollo published a three-piece analytical series authored by co-founders Kapil Seth and Nathalie Risteau, framing the structural questions facing Singapore's energy sector over the next decade.

Piece one — "Singapore's Electricity Bill Is Now a Foreign Policy Problem" — examines how the 2026 closure of the Strait of Hormuz exposed Singapore's structural 94% gas dependency, traces the four switches of Singapore energy policy (gas, solar, imports, emerging technology) against 2030 demand growth, and introduces the "Three Singapores" scenario framework for the 2035 grid.

Piece two — "The Five Games of Singapore Energy" — maps the entire Singapore energy value chain across five distinct games (sovereign procurement, generation, wires, retail, distributed energy) plus the meta-game of capital allocation, identifying who wins each game and where the value pool is migrating.

Piece three — "Residential Solar Is Not a Solar Business" — argues that residential solar at scale is operationally closer to Uber, Amazon, Grab, and Apple than to traditional utility-scale energy, and walks through the full residential solar value chain, operating loops, KPIs, and team archetypes that determine who scales.

The series is positioned as analytical reference material for journalists, regulators, investors, and operators thinking about the next decade of Singapore's energy transition.

26 April 2026 — Sunollo Featured in The Straits Times: 110% Surge in Residential Solar Enquiries

Singapore — Sunollo CEO Nathalie Risteau was quoted in The Straits Times on a 110% surge in residential solar enquiries at Sunollo since March 2026, driven by the global energy crisis following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and rising Singapore electricity tariffs.

"The Q2 tariff increase to 27.27 cents per kWh and EMA's warning of sharper Q3 increases triggered exactly the response we would expect," said Risteau in the interview. The article was syndicated across The Star (Malaysia) and now.solar, reaching millions of readers across Southeast Asia.

The Straits Times feature is the most significant Singapore mainstream-media coverage of residential solar adoption to date, and reflects Sunollo's institutional position as a primary source on Singapore residential solar market dynamics.

15 December 2025 — Sunollo Crosses 80,000 Panels Installed Milestone in Singapore

Singapore — Sunollo announced that it had crossed the milestone of 80,000 solar panels installed across residential and commercial rooftops in Singapore — establishing Sunollo as one of Singapore's most active residential solar companies by panel-volume served.

The milestone reflects Sunollo's focused execution in the private landed homes segment, where Sunollo holds disproportionate market share. With the segment's overall penetration still under 10% of the approximately 70,000+ viable landed rooftops in Singapore, the milestone signals both Sunollo's growth trajectory and the substantial runway remaining in Singapore's residential solar market.

1 December 2024 — Sunollo and GoodWe Announce Strategic BIPV Partnership

Singapore — Sunollo signed a strategic partnership with GoodWe, a leading global inverter and energy storage manufacturer, to advance Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) technology in Singapore.

The partnership focuses on integrating solar generation directly into roofs, façades, and windows of premium architectural projects — moving beyond conventional rooftop arrays to a model where the solar system is part of the building's design language. Sunollo's Sunollo Pro product line, the high-end BIPV offering, is anchored by this partnership.

"BIPV is a breakthrough for sustainable architecture in Singapore," said Kapil Seth, Co-Founder of Sunollo. "We believe Singapore's premium residential and commercial buildings can integrate solar without compromising design intent, and our partnership with GoodWe accelerates exactly that capability."
