Building the grid
Asia never had.

Centralized power plants and century-old transmission lines weren’t designed for 4 billion people in dense, sun-drenched cities. Sunollo is building the distributed grid that actually fits — solar and storage at every home, connected and measurable. Starting in Singapore. Expanding across Asia.

people in Asia who will need new energy infrastructure

Now

Singapore is the proving ground. Asia is the destination.

The old grid wasn’t built for this.

Centralized generation. One-way transmission. Passive consumers who pay whatever the utility charges. That model was designed for a different era — and it doesn’t fit Asia’s cities, Asia’s climate, or Asia’s energy future.

The new grid is distributed. Solar panels and battery systems at the home level — producing, storing and managing energy where it’s used. Every Sunollo installation is a node. Every node makes the system more resilient, more affordable and less dependent on infrastructure that was never designed to scale here.

We started in Singapore because Singapore is where you prove things. The standards, the playbooks, the trust — everything being built here is designed to travel. That’s what makes every role at Sunollo bigger than its job description.

You don’t just join a company.
You join the people building it.

Sunollo’s founders have installed solar and storage on over 12,000 homes. They didn’t start the company to run a small installation business — they started it to prove a model that could be taken across Asia. Everyone who joins works alongside them directly — not under layers of management, but in the room where decisions get made, expected to make them better.

What that means for you

Real mentorship from operators who’ve done it at scale — not advisors who watched from the sidelines.

The feedback loop

You know what’s working within weeks. No vanity metrics, no happy-talk. Real feedback on real output.

The work compounds

Every standard raised, every process documented. What you build here travels. You leave Sunollo measurably better than when you arrived.

We don’t hire to fill seats. Every role at Sunollo has a clear reason to exist and a clear way we’ll know if it’s working. The descriptions below are written to help you decide if this is the right place for you — not to filter you in or out.

Sales Consultant

The technology is ready. Help Singapore families choose the new grid.

Why this role exists

A distributed grid only spreads when real families trust it enough to put it on their roof. This role exists to build that trust — honestly, without pressure, one household at a time. Singapore is the proving ground. When you do this job well, the model scales.

The work

You run site assessments, explain solar and battery economics without jargon, and make sure every customer understands exactly what they’re committing to and why it makes sense. You’re not closing — you’re removing uncertainty until the right decision becomes obvious. We measure what happens 12 months after you leave, not just the day you got the signature.

What you bring
  • You’ve sold something technical and high-consideration before
  • You can explain solar payback and storage economics clearly, without pressure tactics
  • You ask more questions than you answer before you pitch
  • You’re honest when someone isn’t the right fit — and they remember you for it
  • Comfortable on-site: rooftops, switchboards, household load profiles

Project Delivery

Every installation is a node on Asia’s new grid. Make each one right.

Why this role exists

A distributed grid is only as good as each of its nodes. A system that’s badly installed doesn’t just underperform — it erodes trust in the entire model and makes the next market harder to enter. This role exists to make every Sunollo installation something the whole company is proud to put its name on. You’re inheriting 12,000 installations worth of hard-won standards. Your job is to make them better.

The work

You own physical delivery from survey to sign-off — coordinating crews, enforcing standards on-site, catching defects before they reach the customer, and documenting what actually happened so the next job improves on it. The goal is a delivery system that gets faster, safer and more consistent every quarter — one solid enough to be replicated across new markets when the time comes.

What you bring
  • Experience delivering residential or commercial installations (solar, electrical, or construction)
  • You can read a job site in minutes and stop work when something is wrong
  • You notice when a process is missing — not just when it’s broken
  • You document so others can learn, not just to close a ticket
  • You hold crews to standards without burning the relationship

Software

The new grid runs on software. Build it well enough to scale across a continent.

Why this role exists

Thousands of solar and storage systems generating real-time data are only as useful as the software layer reading them. Sunollo monitors energy across 12,000+ homes today — and that number will grow by an order of magnitude. This role exists to make that infrastructure so reliable it’s taken for granted, and so well-designed it can follow Sunollo into every new market.

The work

You’ll work across the stack: fleet monitoring, customer energy dashboards, ops tooling, installation workflow systems. Sometimes building net-new. Sometimes making existing systems trustworthy enough to bet the business on. The measure is whether your work reduces friction for real users and holds up when something goes wrong at 2am. You work closely with ops and delivery — not just a backlog.

What you bring
  • You’ve shipped real product to real users — not just prototypes or internal tools
  • You can hold a customer or ops conversation, not just a technical one
  • You write code other people can maintain and extend without asking you
  • You’re honest about tradeoffs and don’t over-engineer
  • Strong in at least one: TypeScript/React, Python, data pipelines, IoT/embedded systems

Marketing Operations

Asia’s biggest energy story deserves to be told with evidence, not instinct.

Why this role exists

Asia’s home energy transition is one of the most consequential market stories of the next two decades — and Sunollo is building it from the inside. Marketing without rigorous measurement in this environment is noise. This role exists to make sure every decision Sunollo makes in marketing has a defensible basis — so the story we tell compounds, not fades.

The work

That means owning attribution, campaign infrastructure, data flows between systems, and the reporting that lets the team act decisively. You’re not running campaigns — you’re making campaigns compoundable across markets. You bridge sales, product and engineering so the data is clean, trusted and fast enough to act on when new opportunities open.

Apply for this role →
What you bring
  • You’ve owned marketing data infrastructure at a real company (attribution, CRM, analytics)
  • You understand the difference between correlation and causation — and say it out loud
  • You build dashboards people actually open, not ones that look good in board decks
  • You work across sales, engineering and finance to get clean, trusted numbers
  • Hands-on with at least one of: HubSpot/Salesforce, GA4, dbt, or a data warehouse
How we measure success
Attribution coverage% of conversions with clean, traceable source data
Reporting latencyHow fast can the team make a decision from data?
Pipeline quality by sourceWhich channels bring customers who stay?
